outh and early career, He started his career in 1994 at geuzenmiddenmeer, an amateur club in Amsterdam. A year later he went to play football for Fortius in the same city and it was there that he was discovered by scouts of AFC Ajax. Here he completed the youth academy, where he played with Nigel de Jong, Wesley Sneijder en Hedwiges Maduro, among others. Scouts of the British Chelsea FC came to know about him after a international tournament he played with Ajax. Boussoufa signs a contract after year of internship. His first season he remained with the substitutes after which he trained with the selection and he was captain of the second team of Chelsea. In the summer of 2003 the Russian Roman Abramovitsj takes over Chelsea FC, right at the moment that Boussoufa is about to debut in the British Premier League. Abramovitsj attracts a lot of football celebrities and Boussoufa does not get a chance to play. He completes the season with the substitutes and in mutual consent ends his contract with Chelsea. A Gent, At the start of the season in 2004-2005 Boussoufa starts looking for a new club. After a test at KAA Gent he signs a contract for one season. He starts the season promising and his contract is extended until 2008. That year he comes in second in the ” Young Professional of the Year” after Vincent Kompany en ahead of Benjamin De Ceulaer. In 2005/2006 he is able to show more of his capabilities and he becomes an important pawn for AA Gent. His popularity reaches a peak after his 3 goals in the important match against national champion Club Brugge, that was won by Gent with 4-1. On 24th of April he wins an “Ebbenhout Schoen” and after this he also becomes Professional football player of the year 2006, Young Professional footballer of the year in 2006 and gets rewarded with the supporters price in the same year.

SC Anderlecht, During season 2004-2005 RSC Anderlecht shows interest in Mbark Boussoufa. Eventually Anderlecht buys Mbark Boussoufa and on 6 june 2006 Boussoufa signs a contract for 4 seasons. He plays at Anderlecht with number 11. In his first season he was a regular in the title-clinching squad. He became a key player for the team that finished second in both the 2007-2008 and the 2008-2009 seasons. Boussoufa was named Belgian Footballer of the Year for a second time after the 2008-2009 season in which Anderlecht barely missed out on the title, losing the Championship play-off against Standard de Liège. The next year, he managed 14 goals and 20 assists which made him the most valuable player in Anderlecht’s championship-winning squad. He was named Belgian Footballer of the Year for a second consecutive time and the third time overall. After the season he renewed his contract with a significant raise, making him the best paid footballer in Belgium. He won the Belgian Golden Shoe for the second time in 2010. Boussoufa is also known as King of the assists.

nzhi Makhachkala, The head of Dagnefteprodukt Magomed-Sultan Magomedov and ex-football player of Dinamo Makhachkala decided to form a football club in 1991. And they brought this idea to life. In a short period of time they were able to settle all the required formalities. The newly found club took part in the Dagestan league the same year. Out of the 20 games played, the team won 16 of them and did not lose even once Anzhi became the republic Champion.On March 7, 2011, Russian side FC Terek Grozny announced his signing, but his transfer fell through three days later. According to Terek’s VP Khaidar Alkhanov, Boussoufa requested unacceptable conditions in his personal contract, even though Anderlecht had agreed to sell him. In the late evening of March 10, it was announced that the transfer to Terek Grozny had collapsed and that Boussoufa had signed for another Russian team, Anzhi Makhachkala. There he played together with players like Samuel Eto’o, Lassana Diarra, Roberto Carlos and Zhirkov.

tlas Lions, Boussoufa has a Dutch passport and, as such would have been eligible to play for the Dutch national team if selected, but chose Morocco and played his first match for the Moroccan national team against the USA on 23 May 2006. Despite of the interest of the Dutch national coach Boussoufa chose to remain to play for the Moroccan national team and this decision became final after he got included in the selection to play the qualification game for the African Nations Cup, between Marocco and Malawi. During this first official match he scored his first goal for the Atlas Lions. He scores 2-0 during the second part and seals the final score.
